Yes, roomy, but what James said was that most of those who *leave posts* are 13; not necessarily most of those who are watching.

Vince McMahon, I'm becoming more and more convinced, is this generation's P.T. Barnum. He, too, obviously believes that one will never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public. And I got a feeling he won't go broke for a long long time to come.

Myself, I believe that faking one's death--even for a testosterone-laden soap opera--is a reprehensible thing to do. My own blog on the subject linked here actually.

I maintain my argument that she implicitly consented to fondling when she requested a lap dance, though I feel compelled to clarify given the way it looks in print. I appreciate your fairly unbiased portrayal of the argument and don't take issue with it. Upon deeper thought, here's how I feel:

For the most part, the notion of implied consent is total bullshit. Consent should very rarely be considered given if it's not given explicitly (a point, I believe, we agree upon). I felt the lap dance case was different, given the nature of a lap dance. Imagine, for a second, someone consenting to a lap dance but explicitly refusing any sort of fondling. This refusal would fundamentally alter the very nature of the dance. It could still be given, for sure, but it would not be the same. It's my opinion, therefore, that when one requests such a dance, it is with the understanding that such fondling is part and parcel with it.

We can disagree about whether his specific action falls within a reasonable amount of fondling that is to be expected from a lap dance, but that's not the same argument as whether she implicitly consented to be fondled.

In the case of dating, it makes it more complicated when I don't really communicate with the person. I don't know what the other person expects, but rather than ask (and perhaps make things awkward) I just make assumptions based on how things are going. Then things get awkward anyway when my assumptions don't match what the other person had in mind. Girls are fucking crazy..
